Andria is an Italian town with a population of almost one hundred thousand people and it is the capital, along with Barletta and Trani, of the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, in the beautiful region of Apulia.

It is the fourth largest city in the region in terms of population, and the eighteenth largest in Italy as regards surface area.

The city also hosts the provincial council of the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani and is part of the National Association of the City of Oil.

For the presence of its three high bell towers, it is also known as the city of three bell towers, as well as Frederick’s city because of its link with Frederick II of Swabia of Honestaufen.

The symbol of the city, in addition to the production of oil, is Castel del Monte, located on a hill 17 km from the town in the Alta Murgia National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In Andria, the burrata of Andria with PGI – Protected Geographical Indication designation – is produced.
